Manufacturing

The Manufacturing industries which are looted and damaged in several parts of the Tigray region need unparalleled and urgent action to rebuild and reconstruct. This has a tremendous positive effect on reviving the livelihood and rehabilitation process of the people living there. There is a need to support technically, financially and other possible options to realize the project.


The Need

  • Several industries, including Mesfin Industrial Engineering, Messebo Cement, Adigrat Medicine Factory, Raya Brewery, Industrial Parks, and other significant industries, were reportedly affected by the war. (Source: Ethiopian Reporter)
  • Garment and textile factories were looted and destroyed. These include Almeda, Sheba Leather, and DBL garments (Source: IndustriALL Global Union).
  • 100 billion Birr needed to repair destroyed EFFORT companies in eastern and central Tigray (Source: Tigray Interim official)

Our Focus

  • Technical support in the design, machine specification and reinstallations of the damaged or looted industries.
  • Building limb Prosthetic industry which is helpful to recover and rehabilitate the limb losses of the people damaged by the war in Tigray. 
  • Consulting the Tigray Government on the Future Road map of the Manufacturing industries. 
  • Consulting the Tigray Government on the Future Road map of the Manufacturing industries. 
  • Metallurgical production and processing (Foundry) as they are the foundation or building blocks of Industries.
